Spain: A scrapbook.

Back when I first started getting them developed, I decided I wasn't going to put my Spain photos in the album with the rest of my 35mm photographs (purely because there's not space for 60 photos and I wanted them all together), so I thought I'd scrapbook some. I've only done about twelve so far, but I'm pretty happy with how they're turning out, considering I'm a scrapbook novice. 

My aim is to create a sort of coffee-table-book, that I can put in our living room, and people can flick through - a more interesting way of sharing them, than simply passing photos around.

I've still got around 30 pictures to scrapbook, but I want to take the time to do each image justice. Axx

Spain vol. 4: Beach Snaps!

I can't quite believe it's taken me until October to finish sharing my Spain Photos! Haha. I can't believer how quickly the past few months have gone… These are photos from a film I only got developed a couple of weeks ago - a pleasant surprise in the post.

I spent a lot of time on the beach, even though the weather wasn't always great. I read a lot of books and did a lot of drawing. Heaven.

Dippin' my toes! The yellow tone of all these photos makes me smile, I do love film. Along the other end of the beach to our hotel, locals would make sand sculptures. Some of them were truly amazing, dragons that really breathed fire, castles surrounded by forests, and...

This made me smile a lot. Good times.

Spain vol. 3: Enjoy the View!

Feel like summer's over? Me too (not that I'm complaining, I'm a big winter-girl at heart!). Anyway, I am aiming to finish my Spain 35mm posts before the rain, wind and snow set in ;) These photos are all of pretty views and sightseeing trips...

This one's a favourite! I love the grainy look, and the colours and the fuzziness it has!

I think I'll probably do one more post of photos, as I got another film developed last week :) I'm working on putting these photos into a scrapbook for our coffee table, but it's all about finding the time!

Spain vol. 2: Buildings!

So here in South London, autumn is definitely on the way. I've worn my winter coat three times in the past week (not that I'm complaining)! Looking back at these sunny photos makes it seem more than forever ago. I can't believe it's taking me so long to post my Spain photos! I've been home for over a month now… Oops.

Anyway, seeing the buildings and architecture was what I was looking forward to the most, about my trip to Spain, and they didn't disappoint!

Most of these were taken in Alcudia's old town, which is surrounded by a 14th Century wall (from which the above photo was taken).

I love the colours and the textures of the houses - they're so different to the houses in Britain.

Getting my photograph taken next to these doors was my holiday ambition! The bright green of the doors and the textures of the brick are fabulous! (also, spy my tie-dyed trousers?! that's true love right there).

This little overgrown garden and fallen-down house stole my heart! I'd have loved to have gone in and explored.

It all feels like a dim and distant memory now! I still have a lot of scenery based photos to share, which I will upload soon. I really need to get up to date with sharing film, as I have more coming in the post… (I love getting photos in the post - totally makes my day!)

Film Photos: Market Day!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I got my sets of film back from the lab a couple of weekends ago, so I thought I'd share some photos from my trip to Spain, last month. I was really pleased with how the photos turned out - they've got so much more charm and character than my digital ones! Anyway, I got a little snap happy, so I'm going to break them down into several posts.

All these are from market days - we visited a lot of markets - and all the colours, streamers and little winding streets all come together to look super pretty (in my opinion, anyway!).

I wish we had streamers like this in the towns round here!

I have a super-sweet tooth - I couldn't resist all the colours on display here! (Obviously I had to sample some, and they were pretty darn tasty too!)

Happy sigh. I do love film. I just wish it was a little more cost effective!
